Fundraising Ambassadors Tim Making A Difference
As we reach the halfway point of summer, it's the perfect opportunity to celebrate the incredible fundraising efforts of our Rowland Hill Fund Ambassadors and supporters across Royal Mail. Their creativity and enthusiasm have already helped raise thousands of pounds to support colleagues facing financial hardship, proving that fundraising can be both impactful and enjoyable.
Celebrating Tim
Tim Hyde has raised over £5,000+ this year by taking his popular golfing challenge on tour across Royal Mail sites. Combining friendly competition with a great cause, Tim’s challenge has engaged teams across the business and shown how a simple idea can have a remarkable impact. We asked Tim a couple of questions about why he chooses to support the Fund.
What made you want to support RHF?
"There are a couple of reasons why I wanted to support the Rowland Hill Fund. First and foremost, it supports our own people. When you see the beneficiaries and hear the stories, particularly from the children and families who have been helped, it really brings home just how important the Fund is. I also love that it supports colleagues right across Royal Mail and Post Office, so everyone can benefit from it when they need help.”
How have you found fundraising for the Fund?
“Fundraising has been a really positive experience. While I often provide prizes myself, the Rowland Hill Fund team have been fantastic in helping source additional support. One of the best parts has been travelling around the country, meeting colleagues and seeing the enthusiasm people have for getting involved.”
Do you find the Royal Mail supportive with your fundraising?
“The support I've received from teams across Royal Mail and Post Office has been incredible. I always try to make fundraising fun and give people something enjoyable to take part in, and it's been great to see so many people getting behind the challenge."
Why Fundraising Matters
During my first few months with the Rowland Hill Fund, I have seen first-hand the impact the Fund has on those in the postal community. Every pound raised helps us provide support when people need it most.

Rent and housing support during financial difficulties
